The founder- Ray Kroc
A half century ago Ray Kroc opened the first Mc Donald´s restaurant in Des
Plaines, Illinois. This was the beginning of a success story which is
without equal.
Because in 1954 Ray Kroc just wanted to sell his brothers ,Richard and
Maurice Mc Donald, some milkshake mixers for their restaurant in San
Bernardino, California. They have been managing a restaurant since 1948
where they prepared hamburgers, French fries and beverages extremely fast-
of first-class quality, at advantageous prices and known for the friendly
service.
Ray Kroc was so strongly fascinated by this idea and the unrivaled
experience of this restaurant that he acquired the licence from the Mc
Donald brothers to open restaurants similar to his brothers restaurant.
In 1968 he was invested as "Franchise Man of the Year", nine years before his book "Grinding it out" was published. On January 14, 1984, Ray Kroc died at the age of 82. Until this very day our restaurants all over the world align with his business philosophy.

Born in the nice city Gars beneath the river Inn in Bavaria.
Trained as hotelier and restauranteur.
1972 Start at Mc Donald´s Germany in Munich / first restaurant in Germany
at the end of 1973manager of the Mc Donald´s restaurant in Munich Schwabing
1974 district manager of the area Munich and Nuremberg
1975 Three first restaurants opening in Hamburg / management of northern Germany
1978 Qualified for the Mc Donald´s Germany directorate
1983 Self-employment / Opening of her first own restaurant at Ludiwsplatz, Passau.
1993 Opening of the first Drive-restaurant in Passau
1999 Opening of the Mc Donald´s restaurant in Freyung near B 12 (federal road 12)
April 2000 Opening of the restaurant in Kohlbruck, Passau, across from the exhibition hall
June 2000 Opening of the restaurant in Vilshofen
Today we are managing 5 McDonalds Restaurants and we are employing about 200 employees and all of them are granted social securtity by Mc Donald´s.
We are especially proud of the fact that 5 employees have been working with us since the very first hour.
Since 2003 we train trainees at our restaurants. Currently we train 5 apprentices at our enterprises.
According to some statistics the whole city of Passau visists our restaurant once a month. That means that we are by far the most favoured restaurant ofthe city.
Due to our products and prices Mc Donald?s nowadays is a restaurant for the
young and the aged ones,for every budget and for guests who like to nourish
on healthy food.
